Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your data inside the Z Express app

1. Who we are and what this covers

The four Z Express apps (Z Express for senders and receivers, Z Express Hub, Z Express Driver, Z Express Partners for partner carrier companies) and the website express.zanbbel.com are operated by Zanbbel Electronic Commerce Company (شركة زنبيل للتعامل الإلكتروني), the controller of your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you delete it. We show no ads and use no advertising tracker or third-party analytics.

Reports and blocks: when you report a conversation, a review or a user we store the report (who reported, what, and why) for the admin's review within 24 hours, then keep it for one year as a record of the decision. When you block a user we keep the block until you lift it, so that user cannot message you.

2. What we collect

  • Account: your phone number (sign-up and login by verification code) and your name; an email address if you choose to add one.
  • Shipments: pickup and delivery addresses with their map pins, the receiver's name and number, the parcel description and weight, the price, and the status history.
  • Location while in use: to show the nearest centers and to place a pickup or delivery pin. Asked when needed; you can refuse.
  • Background location (Driver app only): during a delivery trip the driver started, the app sends the driver's location so the sender and receiver can follow the shipment. It stops when the trip ends or the driver goes offline, and a persistent notification is shown throughout.
  • Photos and signature: parcel photos at pickup and delivery, and the proof-of-delivery photo or signature.
  • Verification documents (drivers and centers): the ID or business documents required to approve the account.
  • Messages and support: your in-app chats with the driver or center, and your messages to support.
  • Device: the push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), the device model, OS and app version for troubleshooting.

3. Why we use it

  • Creating, pricing, carrying out and tracking shipments until delivery.
  • Sending shipment-status notifications and verification codes.
  • Verifying driver and center accounts and preventing fraud.
  • Answering support requests and resolving disputes.
  • Meeting legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

  • Parties to the shipment: the driver and the center see the sender's and receiver's names, numbers and addresses as far as needed to deliver; the receiver sees the sender's name and the status.
  • Partner shipping companies: when a delivery is carried out by a partner carrier, we pass it the shipment data needed to deliver (names, numbers, addresses, parcel description).
  • Service providers: Google Maps (maps and addresses), Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications) and our hosting provider, each under its own privacy policy.
  • Authorities: only on a binding legal request.
Our commitment: We never sell your data and never share it for advertising or marketing.

5. Retention

We keep your account data for as long as the account exists. After deletion, your profile, verification documents and device token are deleted within 30 days. Records of completed shipments are kept for up to one year for disputes and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised so they no longer identify you.

6. Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) and access inside the company is restricted to what is needed. You can optionally protect the app with a PIN or device biometrics. No transmission method is 100% secure; we will inform you of any breach affecting your data.

7. Your rights

  • View and correct your data in your profile inside the app.
  • Delete your account inside the app: Settings → Delete account, or from the account deletion page.
  • Turn off non-essential notifications in the app or device settings.
  • Request a copy of your data or ask anything at support@zanbbel.com.

8. Children

Our services are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and we delete it if we learn of it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes are announced in the app or on this page; the effective date is shown below.
